Delete my data

Account and data deletion for the Kritaare app (com.kritaare.app) · Last updated 16 August 2026

You can have your Kritaare account closed and everything in it erased. You do not need a reason, and there is no charge.

Before you delete: this cannot be undone. If you want to keep your records, open the app and go to Settings → Export first — it produces a file of your farms, work entries, wages and transactions that you can save or email to yourself.

How to request deletion

  1. Email us from the address on your account. Send a message to support@kritaare.com with the subject Delete my Kritaare account. Sending from the account's own email address is how we confirm it is really you.
  2. We confirm within 48 hours. You get a reply acknowledging the request. If we cannot match the email to an account, we will ask you for the account email rather than guess.
  3. Deletion runs within 7 days. Your account and records are removed from the live system, and we email you to confirm it is done.

If you no longer have access to the account's email address, write to us anyway from any address and we will work out another way to verify you before deleting anything.

What gets deleted

Everything tied to your account, including:

  • Your sign-in credentials and Firebase Authentication record
  • Your profile — name, phone number, location and language
  • Your farms, plots and areas
  • Work entries, workers, worker types, attendance history, wage rates, weekly payments and arrears
  • Income, expenses and all transactions
  • Harvests, produce lots, sales, supplies, equipment and stock history
  • Rainfall entries and soil test reports
  • App settings and any feedback you sent
  • Your push notification token

What is kept, and for how long

  • Encrypted backups — up to 30 days. Live data goes immediately; rolling backups age out within 30 days, after which no copy remains. Backups are not readable in day-to-day operation and are only ever used to recover from a system failure.
  • Anonymous benchmark figures — kept. If you had turned on "Share anonymous benchmarks", the pooled regional averages your farm contributed to stay in place. They were aggregated with other farms and stripped of anything identifying at the time they were created, so they cannot be traced back to you or extracted again.
  • Diagnostics — 90 days to 14 months. Crash and performance records held by Google Firebase are keyed to a random installation id, not to your account, and expire on Google's own schedule.
  • Records the law requires us to keep. If you ever paid for a subscription, tax law obliges us to retain the invoice and payment record for the statutory period. That is billing data only — no farm records.

A note about your workers' details

Worker names and wage history you entered are part of your account and are deleted with it. If a worker asks you to remove their details but you want to keep the rest of your records, you can archive or edit that worker in the app without deleting your account — or write to us and we will help.

Deleting some data but keeping your account

You do not have to delete everything. Inside the app you can remove individual entries, transactions and records, and archive workers, areas and wage rates you no longer use. Some entries are locked once a wage week is marked paid — unmark the week to change them.
